IIDA NY STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

IIDA NY encourages students to enter the annual Student Scholarship Competition which awards five students with $3,000 scholarships in Interior Design plus one-year IIDA Student Memberships to winners and honorable mention recipients.

IIDA FOUNDATION

The IIDA Foundation is a not-for-profit (501c3), philanthropic organization whose primary mission is to advance interior design through education, research, and knowledge to benefit IIDA and the interior design profession. IIDA Foundation scholarships include the Al Gore Lucas Memorial Fund, the Kimball Office Scholarship Fund, and the Lloy Hack Memorial Fund.

IIDA STUDENT MENTORING WEEK

IIDA invites students to participate in the Annual Student Mentoring Week. Student Members of IIDA will be matched up to network with a member of the interior design industry by spending the day in their area of design practice. Students will experience first-hand the work done to create a safe, dependable, and adaptable built environment.

NEW YORK ELEVEN STUDENT EXHIBITION

IIDA NY is proud to be a sponsor of the New York Eleven Student Exhibition. New York Eleven is a collaboration of all the prestigious New York State educational institutions offering four-year programs in interior design. Each year the exhibition showcases the projects and accomplishements of their students.

ACE MENTOR PROGRAM

Industry professionals  — architects, interior designers, engineers, construction managers, college and university representatives, and other professionals from related corporations and professional organizations — volunteer to become mentors to high school students in order to introduce them to the professions and encourage them to pursue studies and careers in these fields.

CIDA - COUNCIL FOR INTERIOR DESIGN ACCREDITATION

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation is an independent, non-profit accrediting organization for interior design education programs at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
