Save A Sample Box-A-Thon

Save-a-Sample! Box-a-Thon

It's that time of year again.  Pack up your old, discontinued fabrics, finish samples, and/or binders and donate them to SpecSimple.com's 9th Annual Save-a-Sample! Box-A-Thon sponsored by the IIDA, AIA, ASID, SMPS and USGBC New York Chapters.

Your materials will be donated to design students at schools around New York.  (Click http://www.specsimple.com/drive/drive_participants.html for a list of participating schools).

This year's Save-a-Sample! is scheduled to take place from April 15 - 17, 2008.

It's easy to participate.  Pack up your materials (which can include, but are not limited to, binders, brochures, carpet samples, fabric samples, glass samples, stone samples, etc., but please NO Sweets Catalogs, Code Books, Carpet Books and Material Boards i.e. brick.) and set them aside.  This year we will be accepting up to 15 boxes per participant.  (Register early to receive official Box-a-Thon boxes).  Be sure to mark the contents of each box.  We will contact you in early April with the exact date and time of your pick-up.

In addition to collecting literature and samples, Save-a-Sample! also raises money to fund design school scholarships.  To participate in Save-a-Sample! we request you refer a minimum of 5 potential sponsors for us to contact on your behalf.  Your sponsors will be asked to pledge $25 each box you pack up--so pack up a lot!

Be one of the top 5 firms to sign up sponsors and you will win GREAT prizes - donated by top furniture and lighting manufacturers.  Your firm's participation will be formally recognized by the IIDA, AIA, ASID, USGBC and SMPS NY Chapters.  Prizes will be awarded this Spring.
