CONTINUING EDUCATION
Did you know that IIDA requires all Professional and Associate Members to complete and report 1.0 CEUs (10 hours) of Continuing Education every two years?
The current IIDA compliance period ends December 31, 2011. All Professional and Associate Members (active and inactive) including IIDA Fellows and Chapter Officers, must adhere to IIDA’s compliance requirements.
IIDA accepts all IDCEC approved courses. It is the responsibility of each Member to maintain their own records. You may use the NCIDQ registry (free for active NCIDQ Certificate Holders), but IIDA does not require you to do so.
If you have attended a course which was not IDCEC approved (AIA, GBCI, etc.) and wish to apply it towards your IIDA compliance you may submit it for review using an Individual Approval Reporting Form (IARF). Information on how to complete this can be found here, IARF Instructions.
IIDA reserves the right to request proof of compliance at any time. Members should maintain copies of their IDCEC attendance records, such as certificates of attendance, IDCEC CEU verification cards, and IIDA approval notices for IARFs. If Members are selected to participate in an IIDA compliance audit at the end of the two year compliance period, they will then be asked to either supply HQ with these copies or submit a listing of them. If the program is not IDCEC accredited the participant will need to submit an Individual Approval Reporting Form (IARF) otherwise the program(s) may not count towards their compliance requirement.
Following is a list of online self-study CEU opportunities.
