Justin DeGroff a Winner in USGBC NY Chapter's Emerging Green Builders Natural Talent Design Competition

Mancini•Duffy is pleased to announce that, for the second year in a row, the firm has fielded a finalist in the USGBC New York Chapter's Emerging Green Builders Natural Talent Design Competition.
Justin DeGroff won second prize for his interpretation of the program for the renovation and reuse of Philip Johnson's New York State Performing Arts Pavilion for the 1964/65 World's Fair in Flushing Meadows Park. His design was recognized for its thoughtful use of water reclamation and daylighting features.
Mancini Duffy Principal Dale Peterson explains “Justin’s efforts demonstrate Mancini•Duffy’s commitment to sustainability and design excellence. We are so pleased that his project has been recognized with such a prestigious award”.
As a result of the firm’s intensive in-house training program, over 35% of its professionals have become LEED Accredited Professionals and this number increases with the completion of each class.
