NYSID's Daniel Park Wins Decorators Club Scholarship

New York School of Interior Design Student Daniel Park is the winner of the annual Decorators Club Scholarship Competition. The Scholarship presentation took place on June 3, 2009, at the Henredon showroom at 200 Lexington Avenue. Competition entries will be on display through June 15th at 200 Lex, 1st floor conference room.
The Competition was open to all NY interior design schools for a sophomore or junior in a BFA program. 2 Students from each school were chosen by their schools to participate in the competition. Students submitted 1 contract and 1 residential project. Daniel Park's contract project was a 45,600 square foot outpatient health-care facility for HIV/AIDS called The Metropolitan Center of Positive Life and his residential project was a 19,995 square foot Upper East Side townhouse that was an official residence for the Ambassador of South Africa.
Veronica Whitlock, President of the Decorators Club awarded Daniel a scholarship of $2,500 to help in his interior design education.
